Kapwing's AI Video Generator transforms your ideas into video in just a few clicks. Access the AI Video Generator and other AI tools within Kapwing Studio by clicking the lightbulb icon in the top bar at any time.

How Do I Create a Video Using the AI Video Generator?

To access the AI Video Generator, click the lightbulb icon in the top bar or enter your topic into the text box in the empty Studio view.

Once in the AI Video Generator, select whether you would like to create a Social Media Video or an Imaginary Scene.

The Social Media Video setting will create a montage of B-roll images/videos along with a voice over, subtitles, and matching soundtrack. To create a Social Media video, select this option, enter your video topic or idea, adjust your settings, and click Generate Video. Once the video has been generated, you can include your own media or adjust the video as needed before exporting as an MP4.

The Imaginary Scene option will generate a single 3 second video clip of a scene in 720p. It works better for creating a specific single visual clip from a descriptive prompt.

How Is My Video Formatted?

Select from a list of pre-determined settings to format your video before it is generated. You can choose from the following aspect ratios depending on your intended platform:

• 1:1 - Instagram posts, Facebook pictures
• 9:16 - TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Snapchat
• 16:9 - YouTube, Twitch
• 4:5 - Instagram or Facebook videos
• 5:4 - Instagram or Facebook videos

For Social Media Videos, you will also select your subtitle styling and the video duration, which ranges from 15 seconds to 5 minutes. Once your video has been generated into the studio, you can still continue editing your video as needed before exporting.

How Do I Generate Another Video?

If you'd like to generate a new video, you can click the lightbulb in the top bar to open the AI tool menu to start the process again.

If you find that the AI Generated Video output isn't exactly what you were looking for, edit the video within Kapwing Studio to update images, videos, subtitles, music and more.

Our AI tools including the video generator are part of your plan's text to speech (TTS) minutes. If you are unable to generate a video, please review your limits to ensure you haven't used them up for the month.
