Desktop Christmas Backgrounds
Time spent on computers increased since remote work became the norm in 2020. Changing the background is a fun way to refresh and personalize a computer. A wintery photo with beautiful hand-lettering makes for a great background, and close-up shots of ornaments with a bokeh background achieves a dreamy appearance.
Below is a desktop background I made using Kapwing, a free online photo and video editing tool. Click the blue Make It button below to open a 1920x1080 template to make your own. Use a family photo from an old Christmas card for a nostalgic vibe. Make a collage if you have too many amazing photos to choose from.
Overlap images and add text to tell a visual story with your favorite photos! You can also search for photos of classic Christmas movie. A Grinch background with a witty line from the movie will bring a piece of Whoville to your screen. Click Images to upload a photo or Image Search to find photos from Google. Customize the background with gifs, digital stickers, and text to make the perfect Christmas background.
Christmas Phone Backgrounds
Instantly jazz up your phone for the holidays by adding a background. You can stick with something traditional like a Christmas tree or double your phone background as a calendar to countdown the days until Christmas. Do you have a favorite Christmas song? Find a background that has text with a few popular lyrics.
You can always make a background if you can't find the perfect one for your phone. I made this example in Kapwing and set the output size to 9:16. Use script fonts and decorative elements like bows, ornaments, bells, and holly to embellish the background. You can create a wallpaper featuring a pet, inspirational quote, or favorite tradition like the ugly Christmas sweater.
Christmas Zoom Virtual Backgrounds
These backgrounds are perfect for families gathering around the computer instead of the fireplace. If you're dressing up, add a fancy Christmas background to complete the look. I really enjoy baking, so a background with desserts is a must! Use a vintage Christmas background on your device when you feel like time traveling.
Use Kapwing to create a 9:16 video or image background for your next Zoom call! Upload an image or video, then add animated gifs, stylish text, and emojis to personalize the background. Use a photo from a family vacation or a throwback from when you met Santa! For a fun element, hide an elf in the photo and see if anyone notices!
