- Open Kapwing's Record tool
Open the "Record" tab in the left-hand sidebar and select "Record Camera" to start recording a video on Kapwing. We recommend using Google Chrome and ensuring your camera and microphone are accessible.
- Set an ratio aspect and input channel
A pop-up will appear where you can select the aspect ratio size you wish to record with. You can also add the teleprompter feature and select your desired audio and video inputs. When you're ready, hit the red circular record button.
- Export and share
Once you're finished, click "Export Project" and download the video to save the file to your device. Alternatively, you can share the video by using a URL link or HTML embed code.

Can you use Kapwing to record a video from a mobile phone?
Yes, you can capture camera videos on mobile phones using Kapwing's Record Video tool, but you cannot make screen recordings. However, keep in mind that Kapwing does not support recording video from iPhone, only Android devices like Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy.

Recording screen video on an Android device is fairly simple. To record your Android phone's screen, swipe down twice from the top of your home screen to access Quick Settings, then tap the "Screen Recorder" or "Screen record" icon, select your audio recording preference, and hit "Start recording" to begin recording. You can stop the recording either by clicking the square stop icon in your phone's top-right corner or swiping down again and tapping the "Tap here to stop recording" notification in your Quick Settings panel. Please note that Kapwing's Record Video tool does not support screen recording on Android devices.
